Meet the Founder
Tayona Curry, MS, LCMHCS: A Life Dedicated to Healing
My passion for serving youth began long before I entered the mental health profession. As a child, I personally interacted with peers who spent time in foster care and residential facilities, and I remember wishing that every child facing difficult circumstances could still experience the warmth, safety, and belonging that comes with feeling at home. Those early experiences planted a seed that would ultimately shape my life's work.
Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to helping children, adolescents, and families overcome challenges and recognize their potential. During graduate school, I worked within Level III residential treatment programs throughout the Charlotte and Gastonia regions and intentionally chose to complete my internship within a residential setting as well. These experiences provided invaluable insight into the unique needs of youth who require out-of-home placement and strengthened my conviction that every child deserves compassionate support, stability, and hope.
My commitment to serving others extends beyond my professional career. Through volunteer work in shelters and community organizations, I have witnessed firsthand the resilience of individuals facing adversity and the life-changing impact of supportive relationships and safe environments. These experiences reinforced my belief that circumstances do not define a child's future.
Today, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS), Clinical Director, wife, mother, and woman of faith. Throughout my professional journey, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating emotional, behavioral, relational, and life challenges. My clinical background includes serving as both a therapist and Clinical Director, treating eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, while also providing outpatient therapy across a variety of settings. My early work in residential care and community support programs helped shape the holistic, trauma-informed approach that guides my work today.
The Heart Behind Eliana's Blessings
We founded Eliana's Blessings, LLC with a simple yet profound vision: to provide a sanctuary where youth aged 12-17 can find healing, growth, and a second chance. Our journey is rooted in the belief that every young person deserves a safe space to process their experiences through trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). We are dedicated to fostering emotional resilience and life skills programming that empower our residents to overcome anxiety, depression, and self-harm. Driven by compassion and professional excellence, we are committed to creating a community where personal growth is not just a goal, but a daily reality.
